Ahead of the release of “Hold Still 2020‘ book and to mark the new YouTube channel of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kensington Palace released a very heartfelt conversation between The Duchess of Cambridge, Mila – Who was the wee star of a beautiful Hold Still portrait and her mother, Lynda.
Picking up the call adorable Mila greeted the Duchess, “Good morning Your Royal Highness!” Catherine laughingly said, “Good morning. My goodness me, you’re so polite Mila!“
The ‘Hold Still‘ was a very ambitious and artistic project launched by The Duchess of Cambridge to tell the story of lockdown and life during the pandemic. Earlier this year, it was announced that the project has been turned into a book and that book is being released this Friday.
If you haven’t heard the conversation yet, please do. From polite and graceful greeting to pink dresses, Mila’s family struggle and how they have to separate isolated to keep the little girl safe during the pandemic, the conversation is going to touch your heart and bring tears to your eyes. Little Mila was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in November 2019 and currently in the hospital for ongoing treatment. In January, Mila received the Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People Star Award.
Mila and her mother Lynda isolated away from Mila’s father Scott and her sister for her wellbeing. On the first day of the isolation, Scott came to see his daughter through the window and Mila gave him a kiss through it. The beautiful moment was captured by Lynda. Later on, she found out about the project from her mother and decided to submit the picture for the project naming it ‘Shielding Mila‘.

Chris Ship from ITV, later on, talked to Mila about her conversation, and the little girl is a real Princess. She was very graceful, charming when she said, “There is a real-life Princess who picked my picture. The Queen knows about everything, Everyone in this whole entire world will see my picture.“
For the video, The Duchess was wearing her Whistles Kate blouse that we first saw in an engagement portrait in 2010.
The blouse was re-released many times so it’s hard to say if it’s still the same or any new version of the blouse released later on.
The Duchess of Cambridge paired the blouse with a black/blue pair of trouser and The Queen’s diamond and pearl earrings.
