Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the award ceremony of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando where she presented the Medal of Honor to the Hispania Nostra Association. The association has been working since 1976 to protect, promote and enhance cultural and natural heritage, which it considers to be a vector of social and economic development.
The Medal of Honor of the Academy is awarded each year to a person or institution, Spanish or foreign, that has distinguished itself in an outstanding way in the study, promotion, or dissemination of the Arts, in artistic creation, in the protection of Historical Heritage Natural and Cultural, or has rendered extraordinary services to the Corporation.
The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando is one of the main Spanish cultural institutions. Inaugurated in 1752, during the reign of Fernando VI, it has been in the emblematic Goyeneche Palace since 1773.
It is currently made up of fifty-six academics of recognized prestige in the various fields of Fine Arts and is divided into four departments with specialized personnel: Museum, National Chalcography, Library-Archive and Castings, and Artistic Reproductions Workshop. Its extraordinary collections and the authority of its opinions make the Academy a unique institution.
Now to Queen Letizia Style – Letizia brought back her blue-grey Felipe Varela tweed suit back that we first saw in October 2018 at the National Day.
Queen paired it with her Magrit Hawa pumps
And carried a matching Hawa clutch.
She was wearing ufo gold hoops and
Her Karen Hallam ring was not missing either.
