After highlighting the Belizean beauty, acknowledging the past horrific in Jamaica, and hoping for a better future, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge began the third and last leg of their 7 days long Caribbean tour and arrived in the Bahamas – a heaven on earth with its natural beauty.

The Royal couple landed at the Lynden Pindling International Airport and were received by the Governor-General of Bahamas, Cornelius Alvin Smith.  Upon arrival, The Duchess received beautiful flowers from eight-year-old Aniah Moss. The welcome ceremony began with the national anthem, then Prince William inspected the Guard of Honours and took the salute.

From there Prince William and Duchess Catherine headed towards their first engagement, meeting with the Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis and his wife Ann-Marie at the Office of Prime minister. The meeting lasted thirty minutes. The Prime Minister told the media that The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to their stay in the Bahamas. They are going to take a quiet evening tonight to energize themselves for tomorrow.” He also told the royal couple about the country’s initiative about climate, a topic very close to Prince William’s heart.

About the visit, Buckingham Palace said, “The Bahamas is a ‘constitutional monarchy, meaning that The Queen has a unique relationship with the country. In all of her official duties relating to the many islands which make up The Bahamas, Her Majesty speaks and acts as Queen of The Bahamas, rather than Queen of the UK. The Royal Family’s links with the country have been strengthened by regular Royal visits throughout Her Majesty’s reign”.

The Royal schedule in the Bahamas is jam-packed. William and Catherine will stay in the beautiful country until Saturday night and will be touring ew Providence, Abaco, and Grand Bahama to undertake various engagements. The highlight of the tour will be a sailing Regatta in which the royal couple will be participating in opposite teams and of course, an evening reception hosted by the Governor-General. About the visit, the Bahamas government said, “visits by world leaders attract a lot of attention and help strengthen ties between countries and their people”

For the arrival, once again paying a sartorial tribute, The Duchess of Cambridge chose an aquamarine shade dress that matches the Bahamas flag. The custom-made Emilia Wickstead dress was paired with a matching clutch, Sézane Taylor earrings, Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps, and Bijou Brigitte Glowing Hearts Hair pearl hairpins.
