Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the Closing ceremony of the project “Diversity in series: Stories that deserve to be told”, of the FAD Youth Foundation at the Reader’s House in Madrid. The FAD, formerly the Drug Addiction Help Foundation, is now the FAD Youth Foundation. Today, the FAD works with and for youth so that they not only avoid risks but also take advantage of all their abilities and opportunities.
The Queen presented the prizes for the II Festival of school short films “Diversity in Series”, which celebrated its second edition and is committed to the acceptance of diversity in the classroom and the promotion of audiovisual vocations among Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training students.
The awards gala was conducted by the comedian Eva Hache and enlivened by the Kubbo company, who have put the rhythm and voice to the event. In addition to the screening of the award-winning short films, a testimonial video, made with the support of the Nadine Foundation of young creators who are committed to the fact that diversity, was run.
Almost 900 schoolchildren from different educational centers have participated in the ceremony, presenting 109 short film scripts with stories of diversity. Doña Letizia presented the prizes to the winning screenwriters and had a brief meeting with those attending the ceremony.
