The Honorary President of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases, Queen Letizia of Spain presided over an event marking the “World Day of Rare Diseases” at the Auditorium “City of León”.
This year’s theme is “How do you see yourself in 2030?” and focused on guaranteeing equitable access to social and health resources. During the event, a video of the theme, “Horizon 2030”, followed by the presentation “Challenges to guarantee EQUITY” was presented. Then Queen Letizia presented the ERDF 2022 Recognitions to the projects and initiatives that have shown in recent years the value of action “from the local to the global” since no territory will be able to address the social and health challenges of rare diseases.
This same theme was reflected in the recent UN Resolution on rare diseases that urges countries to develop policies on rare diseases. The event focused on the challenges and opportunities of rare diseases by 2030, coinciding with a future European Action Plan on Rare Diseases, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals.
For the day, Queen Letizia chose to bring a familiar look back.
Letizia was wearing a pink Boss top
with her Reiss skirt that she first wore at the same event in 2020.
She topped the skirt with her Burberry belt
and chose her pink Lodi suede pumps.
A pair of gold hoops and a Karen Hallam ring finished the look.
