Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 75th edition of the “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid” at IFEMA in Madrid. Organized by IFEMA Madrid, with the support of the Madrid City Council, the fashion week is taking place between March 9 and 13 in Hall 14.1 of the Fairgrounds as the main stage, in addition to the parade process in different locations of the capital.
A total of 44 designers make up the calendar for this edition, with 22 established creators, 10 young talents who participate in the Allianz EGO catwalk, and 12 designers who are part of the OFF program with parades in different spaces in Madrid.
Big names in national fashion have returned to this new edition of MBFWMadrid, compared to the last call, such as Pedro del Hierro, Angel Schlesser, Dominnico, Roberto Diz, Pertegaz, Jorge Vázquez, or Brain & Beast along with the names that were already parading in the latest editions. In addition, three protagonists have been incorporated into the calendar for this edition: Ynés Suelves, Fely Campo, and Redondo Brand.
During the visit, Queen Letizia presided over a brief work meeting with the Catwalk Fashion Committee in which the general director of IFEMA MADRID, Eduardo López-Puertas presented the “Dialogues on Spanish Fashion”, a video of the 75th anniversary of the Catwalk and matters of Internationalisation, Innovation, and Digitization, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship, Knowledge and Dissemination were discussed.
After the meeting, the Queen began a tour in which she spoke with the MBFW designers and sponsors who make this Catwalk possible, visiting the Stands of the collections of the youngest designers who have not yet made the leap to the final parade process.
Letizia also visited backstage where designers and models work together and saw their operation prior to the fashion shows, the hairdressing, and make-up salon.
The last stop was the press work area where a group photograph of the Queen was taken with members of the Fashion Committee and designers.
Moving towards Queen Letizia Style – The stylish Spanish Queen was wearing a gorgeous white blouse and skirt. Both pieces remain unidentified but are being reported as Palace designer creations.
The blouse features a round neckline with structured shoulders and cuff-style sleeves. While the mid-length skirt has two slits on both sides.
Letizia teamed up the outfit with contrasting accessories.
She was wearing cognac-toned Magrit leather pumps with a snakeskin design and a matching clutch.
A pair of gold earrings and her Karen Hallam ring finished the look.
