Queen Letizia of Spain headed to Valladolid for the second set of the “Talent Tour” and announcement of the winner of the “Princess of Girona Foundation Award 2023” in the “Company” category at Valladolid Fair which is being held from March 13 to 18. After going through Zaragoza (from February 20 to 24), the Tour arrives in Valladolid with a program focused on employability, the jobs of the future, and the professional skills most in demand.
The proclamation of the 2023 “Business Award”, from the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi), in the second stage of the “Talent Tour”, which promotes a movement for and for the future of young people from Spain, thus generating a community of opportunities that connect, activate and enhance their talent.
For six days, more than 50 activities are organized in different areas of the city to promote and connect young talent. The Talent Tour in Castilla y León is organized by the Valladolid City Council, through the Department of Innovation, Economic Development, Employment and Commerce and its Innovation Agency, Ideva, and has the collaboration of the main local entities and regional.
Letizia also watched a video describing the theme of this year’s tour and the awards and a musical performance by a group called The “Instagram Girls”. From Valladolid, the tour will head for Córdoba (April 13 to 18) then to Lugo (May 2 to 7) and will end in Girona (June 5 to 9).
Then Letizia announced the winner of the “Princess of Girona Foundation Award 2023” in the “Company” category. This year’s winner is Rafael Jordá Siquier who was chosen unanimously for the launch of low-orbit satellites reducing development and manufacturing times at a competitive cost. The winners will be presented with the award at the Princess Girona Foundation awards later this summer.
Before leaving, Queen Letizia met with the jury members, previous edition award winners, this year’s award candidates and local students.
