Catherine, The Princess of Wales, gave a super surprise this week at the Finale of Eurovision. Wearing a gorgeous Jenny Packham gown, The Princess of Wales joined the last year’s winner Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra for a special musical cameo for the opening of the show. The Princess of Wales is an accomplished pianist and she showed it during her first Christmas Carol service.

Ukraine, as the winner of the last year, was supposed to be the host of this year’s Eurovision. But due to the ongoing war, the event was hosted in Liverpool. The Prince and Princess of Wales have openly shown their support to Ukraine many times. The Princess performed a small instrumental piece created by Joe Price and Kojo Samuel. The host of the evening, Graham Norton, described the performance as “a right royal cameo”.
Here is the full video of the performance.
The Piano performance was recorded in the Crimson room of Windsor Castle earlier this month. Since the Prince and Princess of Wales have moved to Adelaide Cottage on Windsor grounds, the stunning castle has served as the backdrop of many of their events. It’s amazing to see the Royals using and showcasing the beautiful castle and its majestic charm. I visited the castle during my visit to the UK and it’s mesmerizing.
What The Princess of Wales wore for The Eurovision Finale opening
The Princess of Wales was looking absolutely gorgeous in sapphire blue Jenny Packham’s Marlowe one-shoulder crystal-embellished draped chiffon gown. The gorgeous gown was for sure a sartorial nod to Ukraine.
The gown design of the gown and the way it was spread over the piano seat in the crimson backdrop of the castle created an elegant and timeless moment.
Catherine gave it a royal touch with The Queen Mother’s Sapphire and Diamond Fringe Earrings.
