The Duchess of Cambridge wore Roland Mouret Lombard Gown first time in 2012 at a dinner hosted by The Thirty Club at Claridge’s on May 8, 2012, in London. Then in 2013 at the premiere of the Movie Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom. The gown was such a success that the label brought it back into its collection and named it “Ella”.
The gown is described as, “The Roland Mouret Ella gown combines a contemporary cut with expertly crafted panelling to flatter the silhouette and construct svelte contours. Mouret’s signature twist on tailoring is seen with an asymmetric zip to the reverse, making this piece as directional as it is classic. Rendered in white wool and lined in silk, pleat detailing at the shoulders adds unexpected finishes”.
The gown was available for £2,600 at Roland Mouret and at Orchard Mille, Net-a-Porter for $4175.
