The Duchess of Cambridge wore Roland Mouret Lombard Gown first time in 2012 at a dinner hosted by The Thirty Club at Claridge’s on May 8, 2012, in London. Then in 2013 at the premiere of Movie Mandela: A Long Walk to the Freedom. The gown was such a success that the label made it a permanent fixture of their collection and named it as “Ella”.
The gown is described as, “The Roland Mouret Ella gown combines a contemporary cut with expertly crafted panelling to flatter the silhouette and construct svelte contours. Mouret’s signature twist on tailoring is seen with an asymmetric zip to the reverse, making this piece as directional as it is classic. Rendered in white wool and lined in silk, pleat detailing at the shoulders add unexpected finishes”.
