At the gala dinner, Queen Letizia brought back the beautiful memories of April 2011Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton with her gown. Surprised how a Spanish Queen is bringing back those memories!!!!
Letizia chose a beautiful gown last night that she first wore at the pre-wedding reception of Prince William and Catherine hosted by Queen Elizabeth II for the Royal Family guests from other Monarchies.
The off-shoulder lavender gown was designed by Queen’s head designer Felipe Varela. The gown has intricate floral motifs embroidered on the tulle. The fitted bodice and waistline give chic vibes while the voluminous tulle skirt that trails behind has Princess vibes to it. The gown was such a hit that the famous doll-making company Barbie copied it for one of their dolls.
Letizia paired the gown with her Mellerio Diamond Floral Tiara, that was gifted to her Mother-in-Law by the Spanish Government on her wedding in 1962. Its Letizia’s favourite tiara as she wears it on most of the tiara occasions.
Queen paired the tiara with a diamond bracelet part of joyas de pasar that is part of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain’s collection passed on to the Spanish Queens.
