Finally, the day came and we got what we had all been waiting for. Prince George and Princess Charlotte are back in limelight.
On Thursday 29th September, The Duke and Duchess attended a children’s party on the grounds of Government House.
Government House hosted a tea party with children from the Victoria area and their families. Among those attending the event are children and families from the Military Family Resource Centre, an independent non-profit organization that provides programs and services to military members and their families.
The palace said that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were delighted to bring their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to a children’s party in the beautiful grounds of Government House. The Duke and Duchess were really happy this has been put on for them and think it’s a great opportunity to play with other children.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined children from military families as they enjoyed party activities from a petting zoo to balloon artists.
Upon arrival, very excited Princess Charlotte made a beeline towards the balloon. Little Princess played with balloons and asked them to ‘pop’!
It was a really lovely morning with plenty of surprises for the children! They enjoyed miniature ponies, balloon animals and a puppet show. Prince George was initially aware of all the spotlight and was a bit shy but soon he spotted a water gun and started squirting his sister with it and was in game.
Charlotte definitely loves animals. She was really happy to meet this little black and white rabbit.
The kids definitely had a great time playing with bubbles and balloons.
Then it was time for a ride.
The guitar player Paul Kilshaw was making shapes from balloons. Once Charlotte got a flower balloon, George also asked for one balloon shape – a volcano.
The party gave a glimpse of the Cambridge family’s ‘behind the palace door’ life. William and Catherine are hands-on parents and it showed with their ease and excitement that day.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meet with families, including those currently serving in the Canadian military.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte were staying at the Government House, while The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were undertaking engagements, children were having a wonderful time on their own. They were taken to Beacon Hill Children’s Farm where they had fun petting some goats, Willow’s Beach – a family pot in Victoria.
The rest of the day provided The Duke and Duchess some private time with their children.
For the tea party, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a beautiful See by Chloé Lacy Pointelle-Knit Dress with ACNE STUDIOS ‘Orione’ waist belt. She wore her Monsoon ‘Fleur’ Taupe Suede Espadrille Wedges and Kiki Lauren Yellow Gold Pavé Diamond Leaf Earrings.
