On the eve of her 45th birthday, Queen Letizia joined King Felipe to open the new university course for the academic session 2017-18 of the University of Salamanca. The Spanish Royal Couple was welcomed by a group of cheering fans outside the University. The event was organized to celebrate the 8th centenary of this institution.
The Government of Spain set up an Inter-institutional Commission to commemorate this anniversary, whose honorary presidency corresponds to Their Majesties the Kings.
For the event, the birthday girl once again raided her influential wardrobe. This time Queen Letizia brought back an ensemble that we have seen in the past on numerous occasions. The retro style of Queen was more than suitable for the event.
Letizia wore a white fitted light peplum jacket with front button row with a cornflower blue midi full circle skirt from her favourite Spanish designer Felipe Varela. We saw the outfit in November 2014 during the Brazil tour.
Queen also repeated the outfit in April 2015 at pre-ceremony lunch for Cervantes Prize winner and then in June this year to welcome the board of the Princess of Asturias Foundation El to Pardo Palace.
Queen paired the outfit in the same colourway suede platform pumps from Magrit.
TOUS bluestone and mother of pearl dangle earrings are the go-to accessories with this look of Queen Letizia.
Queen carried the Felipe Varela clutch in ocean metal tone with Swarovski crystal on the flap.
Queen Letizia has not debuted any new look since resuming her duties after the summer break. Tomorrow this RegalFille is turning 45, we send a lot of love and best wishes to Queen Letizia on her big day.
