Today the King and Queen of Spain presided over the award ceremony to recognize the contribution in the enrichment of Spain’s cultural heritage. The award ceremony was held at the Cathedral of Santa Maria and San Julián Cuenca, where a crowd of well-wishers welcomed the royal couple.
At the event, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met artists, Authors, and many other individuals and institutions representatives who contributed to Fine Arts, Cinema, and Literature.
King Felipe addressed the gathering in the church and remarked
Culture means creativity and imagination, it means history and art, literature and languages, traditions and innovation, but in order to express culture needs freedom, a freedom that cost a lot to the Spaniards to achieve and made possible our common desire to live together in democracy, a democratic coexistence that was the fruit of a deep, intense and felt desire for each of the Spaniards, and an aspiration achieved after many sacrifices and efforts and thanks to the commitment and generosity of all, a great collective victory that cannot be waived.
After the address, King and Queen honoured the award winners.
For the event once again Queen Letizia put her economic foot at the front. She looked regal in her red Nina Ricci separates that we first saw during the France Visit in 2015.
The ensemble includes a tube skirt with a sleeveless box style upper that features a round neck with silver buttons with front pockets.
Chanel ‘Plume’ white gold diamond earrings complemented the whole look. Queen carried a red clutch that is yet to be identified.
