The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge started their 2nd day in Sweden with a focus on the country’s pioneering work in the field of mental health and children’s wellbeing and how children and young teenagers are supported through the Swedish education system.
Once again, Prince William and Catherine were joined by the host royal couple Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel.

The royal couples met with leading scientific researchers and practitioners to discuss ground-breaking academic work in developmental psychology, and Sweden’s approach to managing mental health challenges, including the impact of physical activity on mental health.
The next stop was the Matteusskolan, a school in the heart of the city center, where the YAM programme operates.

The royal couples heard about the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) programme, a project for 14 – 16-year-olds which promotes increased knowledge about mental health through dialogue and role-play.
They joined children who have taken part in the YAM programme during one of their mental health activity sessions.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, spoke to students, teachers and invited guests about the importance of young people having conversations about mental health challenges.
Royals were welcomed and greeted by the hundreds of well-wishers waiting to see and meet them.
Then the couple headed towards the NK Department Store with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel to open an interactive exhibition of UK design, fashion, and brands that operate in Sweden.
They heard how UK brands are putting innovation, technology, and sustainable practices at the forefront of their businesses.
The next stop of the day was the Haga Palace, Crown Princess Victoria, and Prince Daniel’s official residence, for a private tea with the couple.
Prince William and Catherine met Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, daughter and son, of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
For the first part of the day, The Duchess of Cambridge chose her trusty brands Catherine Walker and Alexander McQueen.
Underneath the coat, Catherine wore a tailor-made Alexander McQueen sheath dress. Made from ivory wool-blend bouclé-tweed the midi dress is flecked with gold yarns. The fabric was part of McQueen’s Pre-Fall ’17 collection.
Once again keeping the clutches aside Duchess chose another handbag. She carried her Chanel Bag with Enamel Handle from the Fall/Winter 2015/2016 Collection that we first saw during Paris visit.
Catherine paired her outfit with her trusty Tod’s Pumps with fringes.
Giving a sartorial salute to the host country, The Duchess of Cambridge chose Baroque pearl earrings with a gold fill wire from Swedish brand In2Design to finish the look.
The Duchess of Cambridge was seen wearing her Cornelia James Imogen gloves upon arrival.
