After waiting for one long month finally the news is here. The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital earlier this morning where she delivered a baby boy.
Kensington Palace announced it just before 8 AM that Catherine travelled to the hospital in a car accompanied by Prince William.
Within a short time, the royal press pack and world’s media gathered outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
At around 11 AM Duchess’ stylist, Natasha Archer was seen leaving the hospital giving rise to hope that the baby is born.
The eyes of the world’s media and every keen royal fan were on the doors of Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.
After 5 hours of labour, Duchess gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 11:01 AM. Prince William was present at the time of their baby’s birth. Kensington Palace announced that mother and baby are doing well. The weight of the baby was 8lbs 7oz and the new Prince was bigger than his elder siblings at the time of birth.
As per the royal tradition, a framed notice of the birth was put on display on a ceremonial easel on the forecourt at Buckingham Palace. Notices have been posted on the occasion of a Royal birth for at least as long as Buckingham Palace has been the Sovereign’s official residence (from 1837).
The notice will be on display for approximately 24 hours. When it is taken down, it is sent to the Privy Council Office so that the details of the birth may be recorded in the Privy Council records.

At 4 PM a smiling Prince William came out of the Lindo Wing and left for Kensington Palace saying “back in a minute”.
As expected, Duke of Cambridge Prince William brought his elder children Prince George and Princess Charlotte to meet their new baby brother.
A video of Cambridge Prince and Princess’s arrival.
The adorable Prince George was still in his school uniform. Cute as button Princess Charlotte gave the cutest wave to cameras showing how comfortable she already is around attention.
I hope you all remember that Princess Charlotte will be 3 on May 2nd. Once inside big brother Prince George took the lead and put a protective arm around his little sister.
Kids stayed at the hospital for a short time and left from the side door via a tunnel. Kensington Palace announced their arrival at home on social media along with the announcement of Duchess leaving the hospital with a new baby.

Around 5:30 PM Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came out with the new Prince of Cambridge.
The happy couple was beaming while greeting the media and the public gathered outside the hospital.
The Duchess was a doting mother as she looked smitten with her younger son.
The new baby is a sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and fifth in line to the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles, his father Prince William, and his elder siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Baby Cambridge who is born on St. George’s Day shares his birthday with Lady Gabriella Windsor, daughter of Prince Michael while making another history for not overtaking his sister in the line of throne.
He was wrapped in a blanket by G. H. Hurt & Son – the Nottingham-based brand who also made shawls for George and Charlotte when they were born.

After introducing their third baby to the world, the happy couple went back inside to came out in a few minutes to leave for their home hand in hand.
Upon their departure Kensington Palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son will travel home to Kensington Palace. Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have received. They would also like to thank everyone for their warm wishes.”

While leaving William jokingly said ” thrice the worry now” and about the name, he said, “you’ll find out soon enough”. I am believing that Duke and Duchess would like to pay tribute to Duke’s Grandfather Prince Philip by giving the new Cambridge Prince his name. This is my guess for the baby name is “Arthur Philip James”. What is yours?
A look back at the birth of all Cambridge babies.
And how William and Kate introduced them outside the Lindo Wing
The Duchess of Cambridge made a hat-trick for her Lindo Wing dress. Just like at the birth of Prince George and Princess Charlotte this time too Kate chose her trusted designer Jenny Packham. This time it was a beautiful red number with a peter pan collar in lace.
The dress looked similar to the dress worn by Catherine’s late Mother-in-law Diana Princess of Wales while leaving Lindo Wing after the birth of Prince Harry in 1984.
The Duchess looked radiant and glowing just a few hours after giving birth. Catherine paired the dress with Queen’s diamond and pearl earrings that she has worn on a number of occasions in the last few years.

I am expecting the announcement of the name for a new baby in a day or two after Duchess and family is settled down with a new baby in her home. The baby will be styled as His Royal Highness Prince <Name> of Cambridge. I do hope it’s Arthur Philip. Stay tuned till then.
