On Monday, while the whole royal world had keen eyes on the door of Lindo Wing for Royal Baby news, on the other side of the world, Queen Letizia was charming the writers with her tender regalness.
She joined King Felipe in the Auditorium of the University of Alcalá in Madrid to present the Literature Prize “Miguel de Cervantes” 2017 in the Spanish Language to Sergio Ramírez.
Prior to the ceremony, On Friday King and Queen offered special lunch and representation to the winner at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
Upon arrival, King and Queen were received by the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, and by the general head of the General Air Command. The event started with the National Anthem after which the King reviews the troops upon arrival at the University of Alcalá.
King Felipe was presented with the control stick by the Mayor of Alcalá de Henares
The ceremony started when Felipe and Letizia took their seats inside the auditorium.
His Majesty the King imposed the Medal to Sergio Ramírez.

Speaking at the event about Sergio Ramírez King said, “Today we recognize an ambassador of Cervantes who has returned home, to this house that is the homeland of language.”

Before leaving, Letizia and Felipe greeted the members of the public gathered outside waiting for them.
Queen Letizia was charmed by the young musicians and kids giving performances outside.
A young girl gave a hug to Queen while a young kid musician gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Today keeping her trust in the royal designer Felipe Varela, Queen Letizia once again chose to recycle one of her iconic looks.
She wore a pastel pink dress and coat designed by Queen’s go-to designer for official events. Letizia wore the set for the first time in 2016 during the flag representation event.
The tailored coat featuring a brocade overlay with wavy trim at the front panel closing and on the hemline is paired with a matching plain pink dress.

Queen teamed up the dress with nude patent leather pumps from Lodi and pink suede clutch with golden closure from Felipe Varela.
Letizia finished the look with her pretty Yanes flower blossom stud earrings.
Tomorrow King Felipe and Queen Letizia will offer Lunch in honor of the President of the United Mexican States, Mr Enrique Peña Nieto, and Mrs Angélica Rivera. Stay tuned!!!
