Queen Letizia of Spain presented Children’s and Youth Literature Awards “El Barco de Vapor” and “Gran Angular” granted by the SM Foundation at Real Post Office in Madrid.
This honour is awarded since 1978 in order to promote literacy among children and young people, the taste for reading and the diffusion of human, social, cultural or religious values that help to build a worthy world. They are granted annually and currently have a budget of 35,000 euros and the commitment to edit and publish the works that win the prizes of each contest.
Upon arrival, Queen was greeted by the Minister of Education, President of the SM Foundation and other dignitaries.
The Queen presents the “Great Angular”(“El Barco de Vapor”) prize to Mónica Rodríguez Suárez, for the book entitled “Biography of a body”.
The prize of “The Steam Boat” (“Gran Angular”) went to David Peña Toribio, for the book entitled “The invisible girl”.
Speaking at the event, Queen Letizia thanked The Community of Madrid, SM Group and its Foundation and stated, “delivering prizes is always a joy: it is about recognizing the excellence and effort of a job well done, and because we are talking about literature and therefore about culture, knowledge, training, we are talking about what means reading from a very early age, how reading models the criteria and opens the eyes.”
Once again the bringing the edgier style out, Letizia looked stunningly chic in HugoBoss “Duxida “Crepe Satin Jumpsuit. She debuted the stylish number in 2016 during 2016 World Cancer Congress held in Paris.

Letizia was carrying Magrit’s Cloe Handbag made with a large flap made of blue suede covered with black studs, metallic blue leather, and engraved black leather on the sides with a removable silver chain.
Bvlgari Aquamarine Teardrop earrings that were gifted to Queen at the birth of Princess Leonor by the Italian jewellery house completed today’s look.
