Just like previous year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their debut appearance of 2019 at the First Sunday Service of the new year with Her Majesty in Sandringham, Norfolk.
William and Catherine had made it sort of a tradition to join Queen Elizabeth II along with their close friends for the very first service of the year in Norfolk, where the couple owns a beautiful residence Anmer Hall. A look at couple’s previous appearances.
Today they were joined by James and Laura Meade. James Meade is Princess Charlotte’s Godfather while his wife Laura Meade is Godmother of William and Catherine’s youngest son Prince Louis. The couple walked from Anmer Hall to the church with their friends.
A video of the walk from Daily mail.
For the first appearance of the year after 2018 Christmas Service, Duchess chose to bring back familiar pieces from her wardrobe to create an updated look. She was wearing a blue bespoke Catherine Walker funnel coat.
She first wore the coat in February 2018 on the first day of Norway visit. It seems the coat has been altered to fit Catherine’ post-pregnancy silhouette.
It seems, underneath the coat, Catherine wore LK Bennett Mortimer Green Polka Dot Silk Dress.
Catherine has the same dress in green also that she first wore in December 2018 during a visit to Evelina Hospital. The dress is still available in Blue and Green colours.
Duchess paired the coat with her Prada pointy-toe suede pumps that she debuted in 2016.
She was carrying blue Jimmy Choo Celeste clutch that she also owns in the 4 colours.
The only new element in today’s look was a new bespoke Jane Taylor headband that matched with the tone of her coat. The original design of the headband has a veil.
Duchess seems to love these headbands as she was seen wearing them many times since their debut at the Christening of Prince Louis in July last year.
Catherine finished her look with Annoushka Pearls and Kiki McDonough Gold Hoops and kept the cold away with black gloves.
Catherine is turning 37 on coming Wednesday and I believe she will be marking her big day privately in London as George and Charlotte are starting their school on Tuesday so Couple will be moving to Kensington Palace on Monday. I wish her a very Happy Birthday.
