Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the funeral of Infanta Pilar, Duchess of Badajoz and Viscountess of La Torre, at the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Madrid.
Born on 30 July 1936, Infanta Pilar was the elder sister of Felipe’s Father King Juan Carlos. Married to Luis Gómez-Acebo y Duque de Estrada, 2nd Viscount of La Torre, Infanta Pilar died on January 8, 2020, in Madrid due to Colon Cancer.
The funeral was officiated by Monsignor Juan del Río.
After the service, Felipe and Letizia met with the Infanta Pilar’s Children and their families and offered their condolences.
For the sombre event, Queen Letizia wore black Carolina Herrera coat and paired the coat with a black scarf and black Manolo Blahnik Pumps.
Queen Letizia carried her black Carolina Herrera ‘Astrud’ Clutch.
Her Australian Peral and Diamond earrings were giving the regal touch to the outfit.
