Kensington Palace shared a beautiful tribute on its social media marking Mother’s Day. The Palace shared beautiful cards made by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. George and Charlotte, who are now old enough to ask questions and learn about family, remembered their granny Diana in their drawings.
Princess Diana of Wales was the Mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Diana was tragically killed in a car accident in 1997. Both George and Charlotte wrote, “I love you very much and thinking of you” on their cards.
Sharing the pictures, Kensington Palace said,
This year Mother’s Day will be different once again. Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging. Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William. Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day.
Charlotte chose the moment to share his father Prince William’s feelings and wrote on her card, “Papa is missing you”.
While Louis’ card shows his love for nature and animals. We all remember how sweetly he asked Sir David Attenborough in 2020, ‘What amimal do you like”?
Three Cambridge kids also made a delicious-looking cake for their own mummy – The Duchess of Cambridge.
Palace also shared one moment from Catherine’s childhood, paying a tribute to her mother Carole Middleton. In the picture Carole looks pregnant and looking at how young Catherine is in the pic, I believe Carole was expecting Pippa at that time.
The picture also shows how much Louis resembles his Mummy.
Earlier this week, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a school in London marking the reopening of the schools after lockdown. The Duchess also attended a virtual meeting with her Early Years Group.
