Queen Letizia of Spain, today, appeared in a virtual message for the United Nation’s High-level form on the Rare Diseases. The forum is being organized under the title “On the road to recovering from Covid-19 and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: let’s tackle the challenges of people living with a rare disease as human rights, a priority for sustainable development ” between July 6 and 15 in New York City. Queen Letizia is the President of FEDER.

In her message, Letizia said, “Rare diseases affect more than 300 million people around the world. And that two out of three make their debut early before they are two years old. These are very complex, progressive and disabling chronic pathologies that make these children very vulnerable patients with great health and social dependency. Spain, together with Brazil and Qatar and with the determined impulse of Feder (Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases), Eurordis and Rare Diseases International, will present a resolution at the next United Nations General Assembly that grants the common framework of fundamental action and cover the requirements of those who want to suffer a minority disease or seek an adequate diagnosis.”

For the community of people living with a Rare Disease, a UN Resolution is a cross-cutting step towards global recognition and greater visibility. It has the potential to launch a wave of political action at the international and national levels. If adopted, the text could become a benchmark to substantiate the claims of the rare disease community nationwide. Spain, one of the countries that will support the approval of the UN Resolution on Rare Diseases.

The stunning sleeveless dress features a round neckline, removable channel-stitched buckle belt, belt loops, side slit pockets, centre-front vent with seam detailing on the bodice and concealed back zip closure. The dress was described as, “The classic ’60s office silhouette gets refreshed on this dress with a trapunto-stitched extra-long belt, a front slit and pockets your grandmother would covet”.

I believe the message was recorded last month on the same day when Queen Letizia joined King Felipe for the presentation of Gold Medals as she wore the dress on that with her Coolook earrings – Matte Gold Hoops that have Papyrus Pendant with Aventurine hanging.
