Queen Letizia of Spain, today, presided over a working meeting with members of the management team of Abertis and its Foundation and UNICEF Spain to address the projects that they jointly promote. The day coincides with the UNICEF’s 75th anniversary. Letizia is the Honorary President of UNICEF Spain.
Abertis carries out actions aimed at improving road safety in order to reduce accidents and during the meeting, this work and some of the most relevant projects, among which the “Rights of Way” project with UNICEF and the environment and sustainability project “UNESCO International Center for Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves” were discussed. Since 2017, both organizations have joined forces through a strategic alliance with the aim of highlighting the importance of promoting actions that reduce child road accidents in vulnerable countries such as Jamaica, the Philippines and Brazil.
Queen Letizia visited an exhibition that showcases the work of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) carried out in the last 75 years. Abertis foundation, established in 1999, has been working with UNICEF since 2017.
Both organizations are committed to the fight against one of the main causes of death in school-age children: road traffic accidents. The collaboration agreement, lasting until 2022 and financially supported, represents the first global corporate contribution to UNICEF programs on road safety.
For the day, Queen Letizia of Spain chose another professional style. Letizia debuted a blue linen Suit from Spanish label Adolfo Dominguez. Thanks to Nuria for the id.
