Felipe and Letizia arrive at the Academy. The Royal couple received the authority and administration of the Association at the “Dámaso Alonso” Library of the Academy.
The Association of Academies of the Spanish Language (ASALE) is the entity in charge of bringing together the different Academies of the Spanish Language in order to promote the unity, integrity, and development of the Spanish language. Created in Mexico in 1951, it brings together the twenty-three corporations from America, Spain, the Philippines, and Equatorial Guinea.
The event began in the Assembly Hall and King Felipe VI opened the session and gave the floor to the director of the Royal Spanish Academy and president of the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language.
The Act touched various agendas and important readings of the Academies. During the event, a video “Chronicle of the Spanish language 2021” was presented. Next, the director of the RAE summarised the fundamental works of the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language, with special attention to two strategic projects: “the Historical Dictionary of the Spanish Language (DHLE)” and “Spanish Language and Artificial Intelligence ( LEIA) ”. The Royal couple was presented with a copy of the “Chronicle of the Spanish language 2021 ”and another of the one known as“ Quijo chico ”.

She was wearing her black Magrit pumps and
carried a Nina Ricci Marché Chain Shoulder Bag.
The Queen finished the look with a pair of long-chain earrings that remain unidentified
and a Karen Hallam ring.
