The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Catherine, attended the London premiere of Top Gun: Maverick at the Leicester Square. The leading star of the movie, Tom Cruise, who was present at the Windsor Horse Show’s finale this year with Her Majesty The Queen, personally invited The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the premiere.
The last dazzling movie premiere the Royal couple attended was in September 2021 when they joined The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at the James Bond’s movie ‘No Time To Die’.
The premiere was hosted by Paramount Pictures and The Film and TV Charity and was the 72nd Royal Film Performance put on by the charity in its almost 100-year history. The charity supports hundreds of thousands of people working behind the scenes in Britain’s film and television industry and was called upon, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic when many technicians and skilled craftspeople lost their livelihoods.
Reportedly, The Duke of Cambridge is a huge fan of the 1986 original movie. They met with the star cast of the movie Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, and Jay Ellis. They were also introduced to film studio executives and the movie’s director Joe Kosinski, and representatives from The Film and TV Charity. Prince William is the President of BAFTA.
