Infanta Sofia of Spain today began the last day of her school. Sofia is a student of ESO Last year at the Santa María de Rosales school in Madrid. King Felipe VI drove his younger daughter to school before heading for his day of Royal duties. We last saw Sofia in mid-August during a walk in Mallorca.
Felipe himself was a student of Santa María de Rosales school. Infanta Sofia’s elder sister Princess Leonor finished her school education at the same school in 2020 before heading to Wales for 2 years of international Baccalaureate. The school has been a safe haven for both Royal sisters who were able to enjoy their school life away from the public eye during their time there.
Next year Infanta Sofia will be heading out for further education, but Palace has not announced any details about where Sofia will be heading to. We did not get any update regarding Leonor until the middle of her last year so I believe we won’t be finding out anything about Sofia’s future plans until next year.
The Father-daughter duo was all smiles and waves outside the school. It has been a common occurrence for them now as every year they know they would be photographed at the beginning of the school so that the media and the public will leave Leonor and Sofia alone for the rest of the year. Queen Letizia has headed for Palma Island to open the school year.
Later in the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth.
