It was a powerful event at Buckingham Palace tonight when newly proclaimed King Charles III joined by his Queen Consort, The Princes and Princess of Wales hosted the World Royals and World leaders for a reception ahead of his mother Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral tomorrow.
They were also joined by Princess Royal, Sir Timothy Lawrence, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra along with the UK Prime Minister and UK Foreign Secretary. The reception is going to be informal but a grand affair, staged over drinks and canapés in the picture gallery and state apartments, the Royal glitter that usually makes Royal events stand out has been toned down in respect for the circumstances. Attendees were wearing lounge suits and morning dresses, without hats or decorations.

Earlier today, it was announced that Princess of Wales, Catherine, held her first audience at Buckingham Palace since she received the new title. She met with the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. You might remember the Princess of Wales meeting with the President and First Lady at Buckingham Palace when she was The Duchess of Cambridge. That was also her first audience as The Duchess of Cambridge.
The Princess seems to be wearing the same Catherine Walker Beau Tie Coat that she first wore at the funeral of Prince Philip.
She paired the outfit with Triple Strand Pearl Bracelet and herGianvito Rossi’s ‘Gianvito 105’ Black pumpswith Princess Diana’s Diamond and Pearl Earrings

In an interesting observation CoutureAndRoyals on Twitter noted something about the official picture released by the Palace from the reception:
