After the welcome event at City hall, The Prince and Princess of Wales had another quick outfit change and headed to conclude their first evening in Boston in American style – an NBA Match. They joined the Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu, and the Governor-elect of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, at the TD Garden to see a basketball match between Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.

The Royal couple received a warm welcome from the guests attending the match. Their presence at the match was not announced beforehand but it was much anticipated that William and Catherine might be attending one during the Boston visit.

They were also joined by Celtics owners Wyc Grousbeck and Steve Pagliuca, Celtics legend Tom “Satch” Sanders and Wyc Grousbeck’s wife Emilia Fazzalari for the evening. This was William and Catherine’s second basketball match appearance in the USA. In 2014 they also attended a basketball match between Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers in New York after which they met Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z.

The couple also met members of the Celtics family, including representatives of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, which provides grassroots programming and strategic funding to local organizations serving at-risk populations. They also heard about the “Curbside Care” mobile unit, which through a partnership with Boston Medical Center will provide comprehensive, streamlined care to mothers and infants in the first six weeks of life right at patient doorsteps

Moving towards The Princess of Wales’s third style of the day – this time Catherine chose to bring back a familiar look from her wardrobe.
The Princess of Wales wore Chanel 1995 Trimmed Double-breasted Jacket that she first wore at the 10th-anniversary event of Coach Core last month. Catherine paired the blazer with black trousers and black pumps.
