Queen Letizia of Spain travelled to Barcelona for a day full of activities related to mental health and care for intellectual disabilities at the Health Park Sant Joan de Déu Sant Boi de Llobregat on the opening day of the “20th anniversary of the Local Network of Labor Technical Offices (OTL) of the Barcelona Provincial Council”.
Upon arrival at the Health Park, Queen Letizia was received by the Government delegation and Institute authorities. The Network of Labor Technical Offices, coordinated by the Barcelona Provincial Council, has been working for 20 years to promote the labour insertion of people with mental health disorders in the province. The 18 offices that make up the OTL Network are the only public job placement centres in the province specialized in this area of activity and that cover 100% of the population.
The first event of the day was a conference “Work and Mental Health: 20 years breaking stigmas” followed by a discussion on the topic “The impact of the use of social networks on mental health” with the participation of the professor of Sociology at the University of Barcelona and the clinical psychologist, writer and scientific disseminator.
Next, Letizia headed for the Sant Ricard Pampuri building, the headquarters of the Specialized Hospitalization Unit for People with Intellectual Disabilities. After greetings, a tour of the facilities begins. This unit was renovated in 2019 and is oriented towards the care of people with intellectual disabilities and severe behavioural disorders who require a global care plan and a high level of support for their treatment. At the end of her tour, Her Majesty the Queen visited a room where she had a meeting with mental health professionals and relatives of patients from the Specialized Hospitalization Unit for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
In recent years, the OTL’s have carried out intense work to strengthen links with local companies, thus reinforcing public-private collaboration. Hiring people with mental health disorders is beneficial for companies that are committed to corporate social responsibility. The social benefit has an economic benefit without affecting competitiveness and productivity, which is why OTL’s provide companies with specific advice in relation to bonuses, hiring and training.
Heading towards Queen Letizia’s Style – Letizia chose a chic and stylish in all red outfit.

Queen Letizia was wearing her Hugo Boss Frankie Cuff Detail Wool Sweater that features a crew neckline and metal buttons gleaming at the extended cuffs. Letizia first wore the sweater in March 2019 for the first time and since then she has worn it on numerous occasions.
Letizia paired the sweater with red Hugo Boss ‘Sistine’ Cropped Leather Trousers. Thanks to QueenLetiziaStyle for the id.
She topped the trousers with a black Hugo Boss Amie belt.
She was wearing her red Lodi pumps.
Another new element of the outfit was a pair of long Tic Silver Cordobese filigree earrings that she received as a gift from the brand when she visited BioCultura earlier this month.

And her Karen Hallam ring was not missing either.
Next, we will see King Felipe and Queen Letizia at the 34th edition of the “Rei Jaume I Awards” on Friday.
