The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, have begun day 2 of the Boston visit. The first stop of the day was Greentown Labs in Somerville. William and Catherine are in the city for the second Earthshot Prizes that will be held tomorrow evening at the MGM Music hall.
yesterday, upon arrival at the Logar International Airport, they were received by the Governor and First Lady of Massachusetts. Then they headed for a welcome event at the City Hall and concluded the day with a basketball match at the TD Garden.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived in Somerville, MA.

During their visit to Greentown labs, they met the CEO of Greentown Labs and the President of the Northeast clean energy council and some start-ups to hear about the latest innovations in climate technology. Greentown Labs are one of the largest climate technology start-up incubators in North America. They have been supporting and funding a community of climate pioneers who are working to design and implement a more sustainable world since 2011.
Welcoming the Royal couple, Greentown Labs shared on Twitter,
“We’re thrilled to welcome Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales to Greentown today to meet our startups and engage with the regional climate tech innovation ecosystem as part of their Earthshot Prize visit.”
Before leaving, The Prince and Princess of Wales were greeted by Henry Dynov-Teixeira, 8, wearing a King’s Guard costume who presented The Princess with a bouquet.
Next, The Royal couple headed to Roca in Chelsea where they met with the leaders of the organization, young mothers and young men who have participated in Roca’s programs. Molly Baldwin, the organization’s founder and CEO said that they are waiting for the Royal couple to arrive and it’s a huge honour for the organization to be picked for the royal visit.

The organization works with high-risk young people aged 16 to 24, also engaging police and other systems at the centre of urban violence in three states – Massachusetts, Maryland, and Connecticut. Roca supports the victims of trauma and teaches young people emotional regulation, giving them a buffer between their thoughts and their actions.
During the visit, The Prince and Princess of Wales will learn more about the organization’s intervention model, which is rooted in cognitive behavioural theory and relentless outreach.
