Princess Leonor of Spain is in Girona this week with her Father King Felipe VI, Mother Queen Letizia and sister Infanta Sofia for the annual Princess Girona Foundation awards. This year’s event was held at the Camiral Hotel in Caldes de Malavella.
This year’s award winners were the violinist María Dueñas; the engineer and founder CEO of Open Cosmos, Rafel Jordà Siquier; Doctorate in Biomedicine and Professor at Yale, Marc Schneeberger Pané; the art therapist and founder of the Palliative Art Foundation, Silvia Fernández Cadevall and the CEO and co-founder of the Kidogo child care network, Sabrina Habib.
Ahead of the awards, The Royal Family met with the award winners of previous editions and authorities. The Winners from the previous editions also described how the awards have helped them in their projects.
Speaking at the event, Princess Leonor talked about her upcoming future, “tonight we are brought together by the talent of our five award-winners and their commitment to society and the challenges they face”. Leonor also talked about her upcoming military training, “I am about to start a new stage with a period of military training. And, beyond my responsibility, I am happy because I know how much the Spanish value our Armed Forces. It is an important moment in my life”.
King Felipe concluded the event with his speech in which he praised the work and efforts of FPDGi and how it is positively impacting young talent and providing them with a strong platform to grow.

Letizia teamed up the earrings with a pair of gold Pertegaz Crystal Hoop Earrings
and her Coreterno ring.

Princess Leonor was looking gorgeous in a pale green Cherubina Bertha top paired with a matching Carol Midi skirt. A label favoured by her Mother a lot. Both pieces were part of the Cherubina SS23 guest clothing collection. The top features blouson sleeves and a V neckline. The skirt has an asymmetrical curly skirt with a high waistline and flare silhouette.
Leonore was wearing Carolina Herrera earrings described as “Rhodium plated earrings detailed with our distinctive crystal-embellished Rosetta Insignia.”
The repeat element of the outfit was her $320 Mint & Rose Leda Clutch described as “Mediterranean design, craftsmanship, and carefully selected materials come together to create Leda bag.”
and her Mint & Rose Rita Sandals which were described as “The Rita Knot sandals are made by Spanish craftsmen with the finest quality leather. Inspired by our Arlena knot. Slightly squared toe, knotted front strap and crossed ankle strap with golden buckle for better support.” Leonor debuted both pieces on her graduation in May.
