King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the board meeting of Princess of Girona Foundation at the Royal Palace of Madrid. King Felipe VI is the Honorary President of the Trust. Princess Leonor of Spain holds the title of Princess of Girona as the heiress to the Spanish throne. I believe in few years we will see Leonor joining her parents at these meetings.
Established in 2009, The Princess of Girona Foundation focuses on three main areas of action: recognizing young talents that will serve as contemporary models for other young people (FPdGi Awards), promotion of programs for the improvement of employability and the promotion of educational transformation, through the training of young teachers. The Foundation has a headquarters in the center of Girona located on Juli Garreta Street. This space offers young people a meeting point where activities are organized designed to respond to the most urgent needs of those who are in the process of improving their professional development.
During the meeting, the Activity report of 2023 was discussed and 2024 Action plan was proposed and discussed. The main objective of the Foundation is to work for young people in all those aspects critical of their future.
