Queen Letizia of Spain attended the annual Cervantes Center Manager’s meeting at the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre in Avilés, Asturias. This is Letizia’s annual engagement before Christmas break.
Cervantes Institute is a public institution founded by the Spanish Government in 1991 to universally promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish and contribute to the dissemination of Hispanic cultures abroad.
Managers discussed the progress and events held throughout the year at the various Cervantes Institutes and 2024 Action plans. The Cervantes Institute focuses primarily on the linguistic and cultural heritage that is common to the countries and peoples of the Spanish-speaking community. It is present in 88 cities in 45 countries, through its centres, classrooms and extensions, on the five continents.
