King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain were at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid to attend the XXII Concert “In Memoriama” Victims of Terrorism. The memorial event is held every year to pay tribute to the Victims of Terrorism on the eve of March 11, the day on which the 193 victims of the attacks perpetrated in Madrid on that date in 2004 lost their lives.
The event began with the performance of Symphony Orchestra and Radio Televisión Spanisha choir, under the baton of the French master Marc Korovitc and commented by Eva Sandoval. After the event, Felipe and Letizia met with the members of the orchestra.
The concert “In Memoriama,” in tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, is organized by the Victims of Terrorism Foundation and sponsored by the RTVE Orchestra, the National Music Auditorium, INAEM, the Montemadrid Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and the City of Madrid.
The aim of the Victims of Terrorism Foundation is to promote and disseminate democratic values, the defence of human rights, and freedom of citizens and, at the same time, to be a useful vehicle for consultation for a better understanding of the circumstances of victims of terrorism in Spain.
