Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the presentation of the Gran Angular Award and El Barco de Vapor Award for Children Literature awards at the Royal Post office Headquarters in Madrid.
This year’s winners are Pedro Caldas and David Lozano. The awards, endowed with 35,000 euros each, is one of the prestigious literature awards in the Spanish speaking community.
After presenting the awards to the winners, Letizia addressed the gathering and emphasised on the importance of literature and its freedom in an inclusive society. Queen Letizia herself is an avid reader and comes from a journalism background.
