Queen Letizia Chose Red for her First English State Banquet

Tonight, Queen Elizabeth II hosted a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in the honour of Spanish King Felipe and Queen Letizia during their 3 days visit to the United Kingdom.

Queen Letizia Chose Red Felipe Varela for her First English State Banquet — The Royal family

Both Queen Elizabeth and King Felipe gave the speech at the banquet. Tonight this event was attended by the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Royal Anne, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Earl and Countess of Wessex.

State Banquet is a glittering formal affair and debatably the most awaited event of the state visit. And Queen Letizia dazzled in red Felipe Varela floor-length off-shoulder gown.

Fleur de Lys tiara

Queen Letizia wore the Fleur de Lys tiara – the most prominent royal jewel of Spanish royal family. This was the second time we saw Queen wearing this tiara.

Queen paired her look with Order of Carlos III. Earlier in the day, King Felipe was honoured by Queen Elizabeth today by bestowing the most ancient honour “order of the Garter” and tonight King proudly wore it.

Letizia finished her looks with Cartier diamond Bracelet and earrings.

Queen Letizia carried her Magrit ‘Mary’ red satin clutch bag that she debuted in June this year.
