It was the second attendance of the royal couple at this event. Before this, they were here in 2014.
A few hours before the performance, Oxford Circus (the tube station close to the Palladium) was locked down due to some incident. Once the scene was investigated, the green signal was given to Royal Variety Performance.
The Royal Variety is the charity patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. The show is organized every year to help entertainers throughout the UK who are facing hard times.
William and Catherine arrived at the Palladium Theatre in London.
The couple took their seats in the royal box to watch the performances.
Miranda Hart was the host for the evening while the Killers, Paloma Faith, Louis Tomlinson, and the Script gave stunning performances.

There was a very funny moment when the host Miranda Hart made a young artist ask Prince William to gallop with them.
Royal Couple joined the host on the stage to congratulate the performers.

For the star-studded evening, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a glittering attire.
Duchess Catherine was in a new blue Jenny Packham gown. The classic Packham piece featured an ornate embellishment and tonal sequin detail in the form of blue flowers.
The dress belongs to the label’s 2017 Autumn/Winter Collection.
The Duchess of Cambridge paired the outfit with Oscar de la Renta Platinum Lamé Cabrina Pumps and Jenny Packham ‘Casa’ clutch.
Diamond chandelier earrings that belong to Her Majesty finished the whole look.
The Duchess made her first appearance at the event in 2014.
