The Duchess of Cambridge attended first church service of the year at Sandringham

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined Queen Elizabeth with other members of the royal family for the Sunday Church Service in Sandringham. It was The Duchess’ first public appearance of the year.

The Duchess was also joined by her sister Pippa Middleton Mathews and her husband James Matthews. Another notable guest was Prince William’s long-time friend James Meade and his wife.

The Duke and Duchess walked to the St. Mary Magdalene church along with their 96 old Grandfather Prince Phillip while the Queen arrived by car.

For her first appearance of the year, Duchess Catherine chose her brown Moloh ‘Turpin’ Tweed coat, first worn on Christmas Day 2014.

It seems the New Year Church Service has become a kind of a tradition for the Cambridge family as they have been seen on this service regularly since 2016.
