Every year, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain undertook some annual royal engagements after their summer vacation – The opening of Royal Theater’s season is one of them. Today, Letizia and Felipe opened the 2019/2020 season of the Royal Theater in Madrid.
The royal couple was accompanied by the president of the Congress of Deputies and upon arrival was received by the general director of the Royal Theater. After greeting the ambassadors and members of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Theater, Felipe and Letizia took their seats in the royal box where the event started with the National Anthem.
The Royal Theater will officially open its 19/20 season for publication September 23 with acts such as “Don Carlo”, “L’elisir d’amore”, “The Magic Flute”, “La traviata” and “The Valkyrie”, which will continue the tetralogy of “The Ring of the Nibelungo ”, with new proposals and great cultural events.
Today Felipe and Letizia watched the “Don Carlo,” by Giuseppe Verdi, who returns fourteen years after his last performance, in May 2005. The act based on the ancestors of Spanish Royal was written by David McVicar under the musical direction of Nicola Luisotti. After the act, they greeted the artists and the team behind the act.
Coming to What Letizia Wore – the royal theatre opening is the event where we see Queen Letizia playing with trends and styles.
After her last year’s stunning Jumpsuit, this year Letizia debuted a white Carli dress from Madrid based designer Lola Li.
This was the first time Queen wore any of Lola Li design. The Carli dress from the designer’s Spring Summer 2019 collection was defined as, “Wrapover-style satin dress with tuxedo-style lapels and gold buttons.
You’ll be the chicest and elegant guest at the party, whether you go for a flat shoe or the highest of heels, or you could add an eye-catching accessory. A comfortable and versatile piece you’ll be able to wear year-round.”
The exact piece is not available any more but the label offers the style in many different colours and prints.
Letizia paired the look with her black Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Queen paired the look with her De Grisogono diamond pavé earrings and twin Cartier bracelets from Joyas De Pasar.
Letizia was carrying Giorgio Armani Chevron Velvet-Satin Clutch. I believe it was an Armani piece. Queen Letizia Style on twitter found the exact piece.
Giorgio Armani Chevron Velvet-Satin Clutch is described as, “The Giorgio Armani understated and sophisticated elegance is expressed with contemporary style. Dynamic lines, quality materials and trendy details: this leather shoulder bag features decoration perforated by the chevron motif with contrast satin background. The model features a clasp with plexiglass detail and chain strap.”
