Ahead of their busy tour, it looks like William and Catherine are keen to spend quality time with their kids. Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to watch Aston Villa match for the first time.

Prince George took after his father Duke of Cambridge who is an avid Ashton Villa fan. In 2015 William talked to Gary Lineker about why he supports Aston Villa despite not being from the Midlands

“A long time ago at school I got into football big time. I was looking around for clubs. All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans and I didn’t want to follow the run of the mill teams. I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments”.

Dressed up in claret and blues Prince George cheered up the team while clapping and jumping up and down when Ashton Villa won the match by 5-1. The family had a great time as they cheered from the stands at their local stadium on Carrow Road.

George’s love for football has always been a matter of public knowledge. He had a football-themed birthday celebration on his 6th birthday after a family celebration during vacation in Mustique. And how can we forget his birthday portrait where he was wearing an England football shirt.

About his kid’s love for Football once William joked he would have to pass it by Catherine when he’d take George to a Villa game and if he would d encourage them to be Villa fans.

The family was joined by Charlotte’s Godmother Sophie Carter Snuggs and her husband Robert Snuggs. You must remember that George and Charlotte were page boy and flower girl at Sophie and Roberts’ wedding in September 2018.

It looks like 2020 is going to be a very busy year of Prince George and Princess Charlotte (I hope for Prince Louis too) as members of the Wedding parties. Last week we heard the news of Princess Beatrice’s’ engagement. Last night it was revealed that Duchess’ brother James Middleton is engaged to his French Girlfriend Alizee Thevenet’. William’s close friend Thomas Van Straubenzee is also set to get married next year.
