Spanish King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the presentation of Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Arts 2018 and 2019 at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid. The awards recognize people and entities that have eminently stood out in the field of artistic creation, providing services indicated or promoting the teaching, development and dissemination of art or the conservation of the national artistic heritage.

The event began with a presentation that showcases the history of the awards as well as a brief introduction of the winners. There were 15 winners for the 2018 edition and 19 winners for the 2019 Gold Medals. Congratulating the winners, King Felipe said, “the winners today are indisputably the brilliant result of an immense personal effort, but you are also, to a large extent, the consequence of the effort of Spanish society as a whole to generalize the access and enjoyment of Culture“.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports awards the Gold Medals to outstanding talents in the fields of drama, music, choreography, interpretation. Until 1995, the Ministry annually awarded Medals of Merit in the Fine Arts, in their gold and silver modalities. Silver Medals cease to be awarded in 1995, and as of 1996 only Gold Medals are awarded.

Now to Queen Letizia Style – For the day, Queen brought back her gorgeous and professional look back. Letizia was wearing a lovely open green shade $545 Dadoria Belted Dress from Hugo Boss. We first saw the dress in March 2019 at the beginning of Argentina state visit.
The stunning sleeveless dress features a round neckline, removable channel-stitched buckle belt, belt loops, side slit pockets, centre-front vent with seam detailing on the bodice and concealed back zip closure. The dress was described as, “The classic ’60s office silhouette gets refreshed on this dress with a trapunto-stitched extra-long belt, a front slit and pockets your grandmother would covet”.
Today, Letizia paired it with her Prada Nude pumps.
Letizia was wearing a pair of Coolook earrings – Matte Gold Hoops that have Papyrus Pendant with Aventurine hanging.
And her Karen Hallam ring was not missing.
