King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presented the 2018 and 2019 National Culture Awards at the National Museum of Prado in Madrid. The awards recognize the society for the contribution to the enrichment of the cultural heritage of Spain.
Awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, grouped into different thematic areas, the awards have the purpose of promoting cultural activities, understood as a service to citizens, and to express society’s recognition of the work of people or institutions that either with their works or through their active participation in various fields of artistic or literary creation, they contribute to the enrichment of the cultural heritage of Spain.
The awards are categorized into 7categories: Fine Arts, Cinema and Audiovisual, Book Reading and Letters, Performing Arts and Music, Historical Heritage, Cultural Industries, Bullfighting.
Each category has further subcategories: Fine Arts – National Prize for Plastic Arts, National Photography Award, National Fashion Design Award. Cinema and Audiovisual – Cinematography Award.
Book, Reading and Letters – National Prize for Spanish Letters, National Prize for Literature / Essay Mode, National Prize for Literature / Dramatic Literature Mode, National Prize for Literature / Children’s and Youth Literature, National Prize for Literature / Narrative Modality, National Prize for Literature / Poetry Mode, “Miguel Hernández” National Prize for Literature / Young Poetry Category, Spanish National History Award, National Award for Best Translation, National Award for the Work of a Translator, National Comic Award, National Illustration Award, National Prize for Cultural Journalism, National Prize for the Promotion of Reading and National Award for Best Cultural Editorial Work.
Performing Arts and Music has further categories of National Circus Award, National Award for Dance / Creation Modality, National Award for Dance / Mode of Interpretation, National Prize for Music / Composition Mode, National Prize for Music / Mode of Interpretation, National Prize for Music / Current Music Modality, National Theater Award, National Award for Performing Arts for Children and Young People.
Historical heritage has the National Prize for Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Assets, Cultural Industries is recognized with National Television Award and National Bullfighting Award for the last award Bullfighting.
Moving towards Queen Letizia style – Letizia debuted a new look today.
Queen Letizia was wearing a light blue Adolfo Dominguez Wrap-Around Dress with Side Lacing. Thanks to Nuria on Twitter for the id.
The €295 dress was described as, “Imagine opening your wardrobe in the morning and finding a look that makes you feel great. Like this dress, one of those garments to wear in a loop because they are easy, combinable, and very flattering. ” The Mid-length dress had a wrap-around cut, side lacing, and full sleeves. It is still available in all sizes.
Letizia paired the dress with a new pair of Magrit Mila Crocodile Pumps. The €290 pumps feature a pointed toe and 10 CM heels. She was also carrying a matching bag that seems to be a custom made for her.
