The second night in Sweden for King Felipe and Queen Letizia was a glittering affair. The Spanish Royal couple attended the State banquet hosted by Swedish King Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
They were joined by Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and his wife Princess Sofia for the dazzling night.
The Royals received the delegations at the Palace before heading for the dinner. The Royal visit is coming after 42 hours of the last one when King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia visited the Scandinavian country in 1979.

King Felipe VI and King Carl XVI Gustav are related to Queen Victoria from their grandmother’s side – Princess Victoria Eugenie who later became the Queen of Spain and Crown Princess Margareta were granddaughters of Queen Victoria.
Ahead of the ceremony, Queen Letizia was presented with the Royal Order of the Seraphim from King Carl Gustav. The order is the highest order of Sweden and King Felipe has had it since 1991.
In return, King Felipe VI bestowed the Spanish Order of Carlos III to Queen Silvia, the Spanish Order of Isabella the Catholic to Crown Princess Victoria, and the Order of Merit to Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia.
Addressing the gathering, King Felipe said, “Today, the Queen and I wholeheartedly hope that this trip will serve as an expression of the special friendship that brings even closer to our two countries, geographically distant, at the North and the South of Europe, but united by the same values and permanent principles”.

For the night, Queen Letizia chose a sleeveless H&M conscious gown. Giving a sartorial node to the host nation, the choice of outfit from the Swedish label was not gone unnoticed by the Swedish Media.
The £229.99 Tulle ball long, the voluminous dress was made from recycled polyester with a sheen. With a Deep V-neck at the back with two sets of horizontal grosgrain ties that fasten at the back, the entire dress is decorated with narrow strips of ruffled tulle. Fitted at the top, a seam at the waist with a narrow grosgrain band, and a super-flared skirt with two layers of tulle for added width and stability, the dress has a reinforcing grosgrain waistband with an adjustable fastening on the inside for a firmer fit around the waist.
Letizia was wearing her Fleur-de-Lys Tiara. The biggest tiara in the Spanish Jewel vault, Fleur-de-Lys is also known as ‘La Buena’. The tiara was designed by Ansorena in 1906 for Felipe’s Great-grandmother Queen Victoria Eugenie.
