The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Catherine, released The 20222 Mental Health Minute radio message that called on the nation to ‘lift someone out of loneliness’ by encouraging small acts of kindness to help someone who may be feeling lonely. On Friday at 10:59 a.m., every radio station in the UK played a message from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dubbed the Mental Health Minute at the same time.
This was the 5th Radio message marking the Mental Health week that was initiated in 2017 by the Radiocentre and The Royal Foundation. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have supported the message every year. The message has an estimated audience of 20 Million. This year’s chosen slogan is Better Health – Every Mind Matters, which offers advice to tackle loneliness and provides NHS-approved tips to help people look after their mental wellbeing.

The broadcast of the Minute follows the release of new data which reveals not only are young people the loneliest of all age groups but those aged 18-24 are also the least comfortable asking for help, with 6 in 10 (59%) saying they wouldn’t feel comfortable asking for help if they felt lonely.

Last year, William and Catherine joined well-known faces around the nation for the joint radio minute.
For the video message recording, The Duchess of Cambridge wore her Altuzarra Aimee Polka-Dot Button-Front Dress that she first wore for the Back to School Campaign in September 2016. The $2150 dress has a vee-neckline, buttoned front, and a slim silhouette with a flattering gathered bib and cropped sleeves with Yoked back shoulders.
The Duchess paired the dress with her Annoushka Baroque Pearl Drops and Kiki McDonough hoops.
