The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Catherine, made their first Polo appearance of the year. The Duke of Cambridge was playing in the Out-Sourcing Inc charity polo match at Guards Polo Club, Smiths Lawn, Windsor. The match is to raise funds and awareness for ten charities supported by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Polo has always been a very huge part of William and Catherine’s love story. In the late 2000s when the engagement rumors used to be at their peak, Catherine joined William in various polo matches.  Those outings used to give us assurance that everything is on the right track and we were happy to see the beautiful couple enjoying their time together.

After becoming The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they kept the tradition going on although with time the count of appearances started to diminish. Now it has become a luxury as the couple has reduced their Polo playing days. In 2019 we saw another new sporting day out – The King’s Cup Regatta. I hope to see the fun event making its come back sometime in the future.

Today’s match is raising funds for SHOUT, The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, London’s Air Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, The Passage (All Five patronages of Prince William), The Foundling Museum, The Anna Freud Centre, The Family Action, EACH, and The Forward Trust (Five patronages of The Duchess of Cambridge).

Prince William’s team emerged as the winner and £1 Million was raised for the 10 charities.

Today, joining them on the polo ground was Cambridge family dog Orla. Orla is the niece of their old dog Lupo and was a gift from Catherine’s brother James Middleton.
