The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, had an away day in Birmingham. The Royal couple was visiting the city to meet with leaders in the creative and arts industries. The Royal visit to Birmingham celebrated the city’s diverse culture and heritage. The visit came ahead of King Charles III’s coronation on May 06th. The country is already buzzing with the celebration vibes. The gathering outside the venues in Birmingham was huge.

This was William and Catherine’s first official public engagement since March. They took the time off to spend Spring break with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis who were on easter break from school until yesterday. The Princess of Wales’s last public engagement was in March when she joined the Executive Chair of Iceland Food, Richard Walker, at the Iceland Supermarket for a conversation on Early Years. The Wales family also joined the Royal Family at the Easter Sunday Service where Prince Louis made his debut.

At the city centre, they visited The Indian Streatery – An Indian restaurant owned by Meena. The restaurant with all female chefs serves the real Indian street food in the city.
The Princess of Wales tried her hand at the Roti Making.
The couple hosted a reception at The Rectory restaurant in the city’s Jewellery Quarter, with some special guests invited to attend. During the reception, the royal couple spoke to business owners about setting up their enterprises in the West Midlands city. The next stop of the day was the 180 Club where William and Catherine will meet the public outside the club before participating in a friendly darts game.

This weekend, William and Catherine will be celebrating their younger son, Prince Louis‘ 5th birthday. Little Louis was born on April 23rd 2018.
