Queen Letizia of Spain was looking stylish in a simple black outfit when she arrived at the Circle of Fine Arts in Madrid to attend the Scientific Monologue “Solo de Ciencia”. Queen Letizia presided over the finale of the the first Ibero-American contest of scientific monologues organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology.
There were 8 participants in the event and Letizia presented the winners with the awards. The aim of the event was to engage the young science researchers and gave them a unique platform from the beginning of their career. The event also promotes the use of Spanish language in the fields of Science.
Upon arrival, after the welcome, Letizia attended a jury presentation giving a brief introduction of all 8 participants. Alejandro Requena Menéndez was the winner of this year’s event.
