King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia met with the Board of Trustees of the Spanish Committee of the United World Colleges Foundation at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid. The Princess of Asturias just finished her International Baccalaureate at the UWC Atlantic in Wales and Infanta Sofia is heading for the same in fall this year.
Joining the Committee were the Scholarship sponsors, the students who are returning after their two years of experience and the ones who will be heading for the next two years. There were 22 students who are alumni of the UWC Atlantic 2021/2023 batch and 22 students who are heading to various UWC Atlantic colleges for the 2023/2025 session.
UWC Spain The Spanish Committee of the United World Colleges Foundation is King Felipe’s patronage. The Foundation is responsible for selecting students from across the country for various UWC colleges across the globe and providing them with scholarships for the duration.
