The Princess of Asturias, Leonor, has completed the basic military training at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza and CasaReal gladly shared few pictures from her training week that shows Leonor participating in various training activities. Princess Leonor joined the General Military Academy Zaragoza in August this year and will finish her first year of Military training in 2024.
The basic training includes shooting exercises, passing the combat track, topographical routes, steps light and passage of water courses. Leonor went through various instructions and training phases learning combatant, moral and military training as well as the weapon and equipment training.
Yesterday, The Princess of Asturias participated in the Saber presentation ceremony during which she received the title of Lady Cadet.
In the October first week, Leonor will participate in Flag Presentation ceremony and then will move to the second year cadet course to ensure she completes the 2 years long training in one year as the Spanish Government has tailored a specific training for the Future Queen to ensure she covers all three forms of Military training before heading to University in 2026.
Next month also brings another major milestone for the Princess – her 18th birthday.
