King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain after touring the areas of the region that were impacted by the Forest Fire in Tenerife had a quick change of outfits and then honoured the heroes who worked hard to control the fire in the area. The Royal couple presided over a ceremony at the Adán Martín Auditorium in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where they honoured the Government staff, Individuals, groups and corporations who have been working relentlessly to bring the normalcy back after the fire that impacted 12 municipalities.
The royal couple received a very warm welcome in the auditorium and outside by the locals who were gathered to meet and greet them.
The event began with the projection of a video testimony of the people who selflessly helped in the fire along with images of the work during the fire.
Addressing the gathering, King Felipe said, “All our love and support. And we join with pleasure, with pride, in this act of well-deserved recognition that you receive from the authorities, from those affected, from the neighbors and from all the people of Tenerife and the Canary Islands.“
The King and Queen presented recognition in three categories and there were in total 60 recipients – Recognitions in Coordination and Protection Recognitions in Extinction Recognitions to the Islands.

Heading towards Queen Letizia Style of the day – for the second half of the day, Letizia brought a chic look from 2021 back.
Queen Letizia was wearing Galcon Studio Fleet Top with Maroon skirt. We first saw the ensemble in August 2021 at the Mallroca film festival. That was the second time we saw the Queen wearing something from this local label.
Letizia paired the outfit with her Pertegaz Crystal Hoop Earrings
and her Corterno Ring.
She was wearing a pair of golden Magrit Marian pumps and
carried Magrit Liz clutch.
This was Queen Letizia’s last public engagement of the week. Letizia will be spending time with her younger daughter Infanta Sofia this week who is back home from Wales for her fall term break and next week, The Spanish Royal Family will be celebrating Princess Leonor of Spain’s 18th birthday.
