King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain hosted the traditional annual lunch for the winner of the prestigious “Miguel de Cervantes” award and his family at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid. This year’s winner is the Spanish writer Luis Mateo Díez.
The award ceremony was hosted yesterday at the University of Alcalá. Alcalá de Henares. Awarded by the Ministry of Culture, the annual award is endowed with 125,000 euros. And today we open the doors of the Royal Palace to pay tribute to the figure of Luis Mateo Díez “.
